LIFE Team Teaches Intimacy Before Impact in Uganda and Zambia
LIFE International trainers traveled to our associate centers in Uganda and Zambia in August to conduct training with LIFE’s Intimacy Before Impact curriculum. Intimacy Before Impact is based on the core concept that intimacy with Christ must precede impact in ministry. In both Uganda and Zambia, participants included pastors and their wives, ministry staff, and health workers. Each group that participated received a training manual, along with student and teacher resources, and a copy of Why Pro Life? by Randy Alcorn.
In many ways, these trainings broke through new ground in these countries. Our associates working in Uganda and Zambia are accustomed to people expecting to be compensated for attending events like this. However, in both countries the participants in the trainings took ownership of the opportunity and paid for their attendance. In Zambia, almost twice as many people came for the training sessions as had first signed up. Our associates were so encouraged to be able to host these trainings without the burden of unmanageable costs.
We are thrilled to have come alongside our associates in Uganda and Zambia as they discovered the opportunities they have to duplicate trainings like these.
