Message of Life Spreads as Church Leaders are Trained in Cambodia
A team from LIFE International traveled to Cambodia late last month to facilitate sanctity-of-human-life training for church leaders there.
The people of Cambodia live in a culture influenced by death. Abortion, sex trafficking, and prostitution have become embedded in the culture which was shaped from years of Hindu and Buddhist religion, unfathomable genocide, and even the welcoming of evil spirits.
LIFE International was invited to come alongside a pastor in Cambodia, a missionary who has literally fallen in love with the people of Cambodia and who has trained Cambodian people to start over 4,000 churches.
Over 200 male and female church leaders participated in the training. This group will have influence into a large network of leaders and their churches, to spread the message of life across the land of Cambodia.
The LIFE team presented the Biblical worldview, with sessions on the sanctity of human life, battling worldviews, Biblical sexuality, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy, abortion, post-abortion issues, healing, and forgiveness. The training battled the influence of death in their culture with the truth about God’s design for humanity and for life.
More than a third of the attendees at the training responded by coming forward at the conclusion of the conference for prayer. This was a powerful time of repentance and healing for many.
A woman approached a LIFE team member and said, “I will take this message of life to the people of my village. And if God will allow me, I will take this message to everyone in the world because everyone needs to hear it.”
