Partner Through Volunteering

Why Volunteer with LIFE International?

Has God burdened you to reach out to the nations to:

  • Share the love and hope found in Jesus?
  • Respond to God’s heart for the sanctity of human life and Biblical sexuality?
  • Use your knowledge and experience to help others working to establish life-giving ministries in their countries?
  • Grow in intimacy with the Lord?

If so, then please prayerfully consider a volunteer position with Life International!

LIFE International’s mission is to multiply healthy, life-giving ministries wherever abortion exists around the world. To accomplish this, our primary focus is to develop, empower, and release healthy leaders overseas into life-giving ministries. LIFE International is praying for co-laborers with crisis pregnancy center experience who will volunteer their time, skills, resources, and prayer to come alongside the body of Christ that is battling for life in the nations.

Through the volunteer process, the goal of LIFE International is not only to build a pool of volunteers who can travel with and train for LIFE International, but also to equip each volunteer to be more effective in what the Lord is calling him or her to. The process is intended to help an individual discern God’s call to international service and to match the gifts and skills of the volunteer with appropriate opportunities as available. Whether or not a person has had previous international experience, LIFE is willing to work with each one individually as he or she explores how to join God in His heart for the nations.

How Can a Volunteer Participate?

Generally, international volunteers with LIFE participate in one of two main arenas:

PRAYER & WORSHIP—serve as an intercessor for the team; equip and encourage intercessors in their call to be persons of prayer.

TRAIN IN YOUR EXPERTISE—Educate board members, develop leadership, teach development strategies, teach or strengthen administrative skills, training post-abortion Bible study facilitators, train volunteer counselors, or assist in developing abstinence programs.

Who Can Volunteer?

Volunteers go to learn, to share their energy and time with the people, to experience the culture first-hand, and to grow themselves. Paramount to all activity, however, is a desire to give allegiance to Christ, to submit to the Holy Spirit’s leading, and to bring glory to the Father. A healthy relationship with God leads to health in other relationships and in one’s work. The following characteristics are among those exemplified in people who serve with LIFE International.

  • Healthy, growing Christian faith
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of LIFE International
  • Living and serving in a way that reflects the vision and expectations of LIFE International
  • Openness to various expressions of Christian faith and respect for people of other faiths
  • Respect for beliefs, values and customs of the country and culture where assigned
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills which demonstrate understanding and compassion
  • Appropriate training/education/life experiences for the assignment
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out the responsibilities of an assignment
  • Ability to work within the framework of a local administration
  • Teachable, adaptable, and flexible, with a sense of humor
  • Good physical and emotional health
