Claudine Selenga and her team planned a retreat for more than 400 girls from 17 different Tabitha Centers in Kinshasa, DR Congo October 27–29, 2014.  LIFE International had the opportunity to support this initiative with a grant toward the costs of the event.

Director of ReachAfrica Pastor Nubako Selenga writes “the clandestine practice of abortion in Kinshasa is still on the rise, especially among the youth. The goal of this retreat is to help the girls at Tabitha Centers to understand the sanctity of human life and to become a ‘life-giver’ in order to help other girls in the enormous city of Kinshasa who continue to have abortions.”

Lucille* is 32 years old. She had the opportunity to attend the Tabitha retreat.  During this retreat, she was touched by the powerful message of the Sanctity human life. She confessed that she had aborted 10 unborn children without understanding what was happening.  During the retreat Lucille professed faith in Jesus Christ!

315 girls gathered for the three–day retreat focused on “life-giver”. More than 80 girls professed faith. Many decided to help other girls with this powerful message.

“Claudine on behalf of Tabitha Center gives many thanks to LIFE International for supporting this retreat.
